Overview

Code and Visual developed an interactive touchscreen experience for the Fortimel brand, designed to help audiences understand their daily protein requirements in a memorable and visually engaging way.

Challenge

The objective was to communicate the superior protein density of Fortimel products compared to everyday foods like eggs—something audiences could instantly relate to. The challenge lay in making this nutritional comparison tangible, personalized, and simple, while keeping the experience engaging for event attendees.

Approach

In collaboration with Bastion, a leading health communications agency, we built a custom interactive protein calculator that allowed users to input their weight and height. Using accurate dietary formulas, the app determined each person’s ideal protein intake and visualized how much protein they’d need to consume in eggs versus Fortimel products.

To make the concept hit home, we created 3D animated visuals that scaled dynamically based on user input, showing the dramatic difference between common foods and Fortimel’s protein-rich offering. The touchscreen interface encouraged exploration and interaction, combining educational insights with a gamified experience that connected nutritional data to real-world understanding.

Outcome

The installation became a highlight of the event, providing a personalized and memorable experience that effectively showcased Fortimel’s key product benefit. Attendees came away with a clear, visual understanding of how much more protein Fortimel delivers, and why it matters for meeting their own dietary needs.

Our Role

Code and Visual handled interactive development, including logic implementation, 3D animation, technical development and creation of a deployable app for the touchscreen kiosk. Bastion led the communications and health strategy aspects of the project.
