Surf Life Saving NSW were looking to create a resource portal to appeal to the broad community that visits the beaches of New South Wales, and Australia in general. With an organisational mission to “save lives, create great Australians and build better communities”, Surf Life Saving needed a fresh design that would reflect those ideals.

We worked closely with the Community Education team, delivering a package of services that started with a Creative Strategy Consultation and a series of UX Workshops. We then took the learnings delivered by these processes to build a design that was new, vibrant and extremely flexible, in order to grow with the content that the team was producing.
We took care to reflect the different audiences and communities that Surf Life Saving work with, refocusing the image away from the heroic red-and-yellow capped life saver, to a wider and more inclusive scope.
The end result is a beautiful mobile-responsive resource portal that provides a wealth of information and contact points for the public to engage with Surf Life Saving NSW, increasing their reach and the spread of their messaging within the community.
